Isle Royale National Park: 2010

Isle Royale National Park is Michigan's only national park of the 59 national parks operated by the National Park Service.  It is the largest island in Lake Superior, located in the northwest corner of the world's largest freshwater lake.  Accessible only by boat or plane, it offers a very remote experience.  Of special interest is the decades long research study on the predator/prey relationship between wolves and moose.

This adventure was with my dad and brother and was the first to be at least a week in duration.  We hiked approximately fifty miles during this journey.
